Born in the New York borough, Long Island, February 10, 1935, John Alcorn is an illustrator of countless children's books, along with nonfiction, poems, and non-English language readers. Alcorn studied graphic art at Cooper Union, acquiring skills in calligraphy, architecture, typography, illustrations and advertising and dimensional design.
